Preheat oven to 18oC (350 F) Line a baking sheet with baking parchment.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
Add the vanilla extract. Beat the egg and add it a little bit at a time mixing well after each addition
Stir in the milk and then sift in the flour and baking powder. Fold it in and finally add the chocolate chips
Place 16 spoonfuls of the mixture on the baking tray and press down with a fork
Bake for 15 minutes until golden.
