What I would do if I hit the jackpot

Afternoon tea at Jesmond Dene House

What would you do if you won a large sum of money? Do you dream of travel or expensive cars? Would you buy a mansion? Give up your job? Its a great question to ask.

This post is written in collaboration with Lottoland.

Most of us dream of striking it lucky. Not just a small amount, a life changing amount. The sort of money that would allow you to give up your job, treat your family and travel the world. It would be wonderful to have some money spare instead of having to count every penny.

Do you wonder how you would react when you see that all your numbers have come up? I think I would be scared to believe it until I got confirmation. Do you ever daydream about what you would do if you won a lottery bet? Here I am sharing my lottery daydream with you.

What I would do if I hit the jackpot

Treat myself to afternoon tea

I am still on a mission to find the best afternoon tea in the North East and have an afternoon tea bucket list,This list is getting longer and longer. One of the first things I would do is treat me and my husband to afternoon tea. I would pick a smart venue in a hotel with a spa so we could also stay overnight. It has been a long time since we had a night to ourselves. Winning a huge cash prize means we would also be able to treat my son so he could have a friend round for a boys night.

Treat the family to a holiday

It would be lovely to get the whole family together and have a holiday. When I say the whole family I am talking about my parents, my brothers and their children as well as my husband and son. My parents are not getting any younger and will not be able to travel much longer. It would be lovely to have a holiday together so we could spend some time together. As we are spread out over the country we don’t see each other often.

I would love to rent a big holiday home, like the one we went to a few years ago, Knockbrex castle. The place would need to be easy for the whole family to travel to. It should also have plenty of places for days out the whole family would enjoy.

Get season tickets to the football

My husband and son are Toon Army fans and would love to go to more of the matches. I would love to buy them a season ticket so they could both enjoy watching Newcastle. Supporting the toon is a roller coaster ride, you never know if they will play well or not. This would be a great way for them to spend time together doing something they enjoy. I am sure I will get the full details of the match when they get home.

Pay off all our debts

Wouldn’t it be nice to be debt and mortgage free? You would have some cash spare every month and not have to worry about making payments on time. How  wonderful does that sound?

Travel the world

There are so many places in the world I would love to see. Some of these are close to home. I would love to spend a night at the Battlesteads hotel and see the stars in the dark sky park. I know my son would love to visit Iceland and seeing the Northern Lights would be amazing. Taking a year and travelling the world would be a dream come true.

Learn something new

Life is always so busy but if money was no object I would be able to have some time to learn something new. There are so many things I would love to do, become an expert photographer, learn how to be a chef. It would be lovely to have some money to invest in course to learn something new.

What would you do if you won? I would love to know. Leave me a comment below and tell me.
