Using an electric toothbrush – cariPRO Ultrasonic Review & Giveaway

April 1, 2019

Have you tried using an electric toothbrush to clean your teeth? I have recently been trying the cariPRO™ electric toothbrush. Find out what I thought.

I was gifted the cariPro electric toothbrush from Smile Brilliant in return for an honest review. Affiliate links are clearly marked with a *. The giveaway is also courtesy of Smile Brilliant.

Looking after your teeth is important. Not only does good oral hygiene prevent bad breath, tooth decay and gum disease, it helps lower your risk of serious health problems.

Who wants to be old and have no teeth? You want your teeth to last you a lifetime. Dentists recommend using an electric toothbrush as they are more efficient than a manual toothbrush.

I have always used a manual toothbrush. Since trying the cariPro electric toothbrush I am wondering why. After a week my teeth feel much cleaner and brighter. My gums are feeling more healthy and my teeth less sensitive

cariPRO Electric Toothbrush

Smile Brilliant are the company behind the cariPro *electric toothbrush. They began as a family owned company that set out to provide professional quality teeth whitening within the comfort of your own home

Smile Brilliant have now developed an electric toothbrush that makes tooth care easy and enjoyable for everyone. Their aim is to provide professional quality products at affordable prices.

Smile Brilliant are based in the United States but they do ship internationally. It is easy to track where your toothbrush is from the package tracking number.

What do you get in the box?

I have to admit to eagerly watching to see when my electric toothbrush would arrive. I was really looking forward to trying it out to see how it compared to a manual toothbrush.

Inside the box you get the cariPRO Ultrasonic electric toothbrush and two replacement heads. These are easy to put on the brush. The heads double up as tongue scrapers.

It is worth noting that the plug on the toothbrush is the standard American two pin plug. To use it in the UK you will need a travel adapter plug which you can pick up for a few pounds. I got one from Asda for £3.50.

Charging the electric toothbrush

To charge the electric toothbrush just place it on the charging dock. Whilst it is charging a red light flashes. When this turns green the toothbrush is ready for use.

Once charged the battery will last for thirty days.

The toothbrush looks sleek and stylish and is lightweight. The handle is easy to grip. There are two buttons on the handle. The power button and the button to change between different brushing modes.

Features of the cariPRO electric toothbrush

The cariPRO electric toothbrush is an ultrasonic toothbrush. This means it uses a high frequency of vibration to help remove plaque. The vibration breaks up the plaque, even the plaque lurking below the gum line. This results in a better clean.

The toothbrush is 100% waterproof so you can use it whilst you are in the shower, if you want.

100% waterproof so fine if you accidentally drop it in the bath

The toothbrush comes with a two year warranty.

Using the cariPRO electric toothbrush

The brush is easy to use. The electric toothbrush head and neck are slim which makes it easy to move around your mouth. The handle is a nice size and fits well into the hand.

One feature I love about this toothbrush is the built in timer. Choose the brushing mode and the toothbrush will run for two minutes. This is the exact amount of time dentist recommend brushing your teeth for. It had made me realise that when using a manual toothbrush I did not brush for long enough

When you are brushing the CariPro will pause after thirty seconds to alert you to move to a new section of your mouth. This ensures you brush all areas evenly.

Five Different Brushing Modes

Another great feature of the cariPRO electric toothbrush are the five different brushing modes. They all do slightly different things allowing you to get your teeth really clean.

The modes are:

My favourite modes are the sensitive combined with the gum care. I have had problems with sensitive teeth and receding gums. After cleaning with this electric toothbrush for a week my gums are much less sensitive.

What I thought of the cariPRO electric toothbrush

Since using the cariPRO electric toothbrush I am wondering why I have never tried an electric toothbrush before. I love the way that my teeth feel so much cleaner and smoother after brushing. I can really feel the difference after two weeks use

It is really easy to switch between the different brushing modes and I love the fact it has a gum health option. This allows me to really clean my gums which were often neglected with a manual toothbrush

The timer option is also really helpful. The brief pause tells me when to move to another area of my mouth and I know that the brush will stop when two minutes are up so I know my teeth will be properly clean. Even better the cariPRO toothbrush removes 7x more plaque than a manual toothbrush.

I would definitely recommend the cariPRO electric toothbrush.

Pricing of the cariPRO electric toothbrush

The cariPRO electric toothbrush is available from the * Smile Brilliant website.

The individual package is $119 (around £89). This has one toothbrush, two replacement heads and the charging dock.

There is also a deluxe package which has four replacement heads for $129 or a couples package with two toothbrushes and four replacement heads for $199. All the packages come with the wireless charging dock for each toothbrush

  9. Elaine Alexander says:

I had never used an electric tooth brush up until about 2 years ago when my dentist recommended it. I started using it and as they say have never looked back. My teeth always feel so much cleaner and actually look cleaner than when I used a manual toothbrush and I definitely won’t go back. I always take my electric toothbrush on holiday with me also because if I don’t use it, I feel my teeth haven’t been brushed properly and I don;t feel right. I don’t have the just brushed feeling and that lovely sparkly clean feel that you can feel with your tongue.

My electric toothbrush is one of my top priorities for packing away when I go off on a break or holiday.

I still usual a manual one as when I was younger my dad told me his dentist said electric toothbrushes were invented by the profession to loosen people’s fillings 😉 …I’m sure he was joking but my dad told me it SO seriously it coloured my thinking. I think I have to let it go now though and move on as there is no evidence of it…is there? 😉 x
