It is the time of the year when your summer tan is starting to fade and skin is starting to look pale and interesting again. I like a golden sun kissed look, especially when Christmas parties are coming up so I was pleased when Crazy Angel sent me their Crazy Angel Golden Tan Duo to try out. Crazy Angel is a boutique tanning brand that aims to provide a variety of self tanners that will suit all skin tones, fair, medium and dark.
Crazy Angel self-tanning products use naturally derived DHA and Erythrulose to create a natural looking golden tan. They also do not include Alcohol, Parabens or Mineral Oil. Bearberry extracts are used to soften your skin whilst it tans. Interestingly Crazy Angel are also the brand that trained Katie Price in the art of spray tanning.
The Crazy Angel Golden Tan Duo comes in a smart purple box and is described as the perfect duo to create a natural golden tan. Inside the box are two products, Halo Polish Body Scrub (250ml) and Golden Kiss Tanning Lotion (200ml). I like the way that the body scrub is part of the pack because I normally find that I have run out when I go to apply tan. This means that I end up with a patchy look that does not look natural.
The Crazy Angel Body Scrub comes in a purple tube. The scrub can be squeezed out easily and is actually white in colour.
It is always essential to scrub your skin before applying self tan to create a more even look. The tube suggests that the body scrub can be used on dry or damp skin, so I tried it on dry. The body scrub has a nice fruity smell and is a nice grainy scrub. It rinsed off easily and it left my skin feeling a lot smoother and softer after application.
The Crazy Angel Golden Kiss Self Tan comes in a pump bottle which makes it easy to apply.
The lotion itself is a slight brown shade which makes it easy to see where you have applied it allowing you to apply it evenly. With a lot of self tans I find that I have missed a bit after I finish which is annoying, with the Crazy Angel Golden Kiss tan this problem does not occur. The smell was pleasant, slightly fruity. It did have a slight self tan smell when left to develop but it was not that strong.
When the tan developed it was as described, a golden kiss. It was a very pale golden shade which looked very natural giving the skin a touch of colour. The tan can also be built up, so if the initial colour is too pale, you just add another layer to get a stronger colour. I did find that I had a dark colour on my hands after applying, but this washed off easily leaving no trace.
The Crazy Angel Golden Tan Duo was easy to apply and gave a nice even colour and looked natural. I did not have a streaky look like I sometimes get with self tan and I was pleased with the result.
