Chicken Tonight Honey and Dijon Mustard Sauce Review

February 15, 2013

There are times when you need a little help creating a meal, especially when you come home from a long day at work and everyone is hungry. I had one of those days the other day and found this jar of Chicken Tonight Honey and Dijon Mustard Sauce in my cupboard. I had been sent it a while ago but not got round to using it. Luckily I had some chicken in the fridge so I decided I would give it a try.

Chicken Tonight Honey and Mustard Sauce comes with onions and carrots already in the sauce. It can be cooked in two ways: on the hob or in the oven. I chose to make it on the hob as this was a little quicker. I fried some onions and mushrooms and then added the chicken and browned it.  I then poured the sauce into the pan and stirred it in.

The sauce has a nice golden colour and you can see the grains of mustard in the sauce.  I simmered for about 15 minutes, until the chicken was cooked. A lovely aroma came from the pan while it was cooking. I served the chicken dish with cous cous

I was very pleased with the result,  you could taste the sweetness of the honey mixed with the tang of the mustard and it went well with the chicken. It is a great sauce to have in when you need a meal in a hurry. The whole family enjoyed it which was great as I sometimes find that my husband and son have different tastes which can make it tricky to find something to cook.

Chicken Tonight Sauces are available in most supermarkets and you can find more information about their range on their website: http://www.chickentonight.co.uk
