Have you ever had a brilliant idea for a crisp flavour and wished you could make it a reality? Well this is your chance. In the Walkers Do Us a Flavour Competition we are being asked to do exactly that. Come up with a new and exciting crisp flavour, submit it to Walkers and you may see it become a reality. Not only will you get the chance to see your crisp flavour on the shelves but you have the chance to walk away with some cash. You could become the first flavour Millionaire and walk away with £1 million.
To enter the competition first you need to come up with a fantastic idea for a new flavour of crisps. These need to include one of the home grown British ingredients Walkers use in their crisps. Choose from Somerset Cheddar, Devonshire Chicken, Norfolk Pork, Dorset Sour Cream, Vale of Evesham Tomatoes or Aberdeen Angus Beef. Once you have one of these let your imagination run wild and come up with something exotic and tasty.
All the flavours will then face the scrutiny of a judging panel who will narrow the choices down to the six flavours they like best. These six flavours will then be developed by Walkers Crisps and the packets will go on sale. It is then up to us to try the flavours and vote for the ones we like the best. The one with the most public votes will scoop £1 million cash and the five runners up will get £10,000 each.
When you have thought of your flavour go and enter it at www.walkers.co.uk. You also need an image to accompany it showing your flavour inspiration. The competition ends on the 5th March 2014 and is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland aged 18yrs or over. You will also find the full terms and conditions when you go to enter your flavour.
I had a quick think to see if I could come up with any flavours. I came up with two different ones which both use chicken as my home grown ingredient, I do love roast chicken crisps. My first flavour is Chicken Paprika, which is inspired by a lovely creamy chicken dish my mum used to make.
For a flavour for the braver among us how about Jamaican Jerk Chicken? This is one of my husband’s favourite meals although it can be very hot.
Disclosure: I was sent some crisps in return for spreading the word about this competition.
