Walkers Mighty Lights Review

Walkers Mighty Lights are the latest addition to the Walkers Crisps range. The crisps have 30% less fat than standard potato crisps and currently come in three flavours: Cheese and Onion, Lightly Salted and Roast Chicken. They also contain no artificial colours or preservatives.

To remind me that it is nearly time to go back to school Walkers sent me a back to school pack along with the crisps. My son was over the moon with this and made the remark that the Walkers Mighty Lights would be perfect in his lunch box. I think he wanted to try them all himself to see what they tasted like. When I noticed each bag only contains 114 calories I told him they would be ideal in my lunch box as well.

Walkers Mighty LightsOpening the packet we noticed that the crisps were ridged, which apparently gives them their mighty taste.

Walkes Mighty LightsSo how did they taste? I tried the Roast Chicken flavour as this is my favourite flavour of the three. They were really crispy and crunchy. There is a reasonable amount of flavouring on each crisp but not so much that they are overpowering. The crisps are also nice and thick, without being too thick. I have to admit they were very moreish and soon disappeared.

My son tried the Cheese and Onion and he said they were delicious. He also commented that he liked the smiley crisp on the front of the packet. We both tried the lightly salted and again it was lovely, not too salty in taste. They would go perfectly with dips. We both enjoyed the crisps and these will be making an appearance in our lunch boxes in the future.

Walkers Mighty Lights will be available in packs of 6 35g multipacks RRP £1.79.

Disclosure: I was sent some crisps and a back to school pack in order to do an honest review. I was not told what to write and my opinions are my own.
