Well it is that time of week where I look back on the week and describe how brilliantly I have done losing weight this week. If only that were true. This has been a bit of a mixed week for me really on the food and exercise front.
First I will look at running. I have not been doing too badly, I managed at least a mile every day and on Saturday went up the hill again doing 1.56 miles. I have noticed the mornings are much colder and darker however. This makes it hard as the cold weather brings on my asthma so I need to remember to take my inhaler before I go. A couple of times I forgot to do this so I ended up wheezing my way home. I also suffered from a strange pain in my ankle which I suspect may have been due to the dog lying on my foot at night rather than a running injury. I was hoping to up my mileage a bit more this week so it is a bit disappointing.
The other problem I had this week was that the dog decided it would be a great idea to eat my track suit. I had one really comfy tracksuit that was perfect for running and when I went to put it on the other morning it was covered with dog slabber and full of holes. I thought he had been being a bit quiet that morning, I wish I had checked earlier. I shall now have to replace it. I did wonder though what was so appetising about a track suit?
On the plus side however I did manage to see some glorious sunrises and captured this one on my camera.
Food wise I have not been doing that well either. I had a slightly stressful week, the clutch went in the car and I had to get the bus to and from work a few times. This is not an easy journey. It is either bus metro bus or if the times are right bus then another bus. I say when the times are right because the bus bus journey is at limited times only. Needless to say this increases my travelling time and leads to me standing muttering at bus stops when I miss my connections. Stress leads to food and I have to admit to snacking a lot more than I should have this week (plus having a few glasses of wine which is never good for weight loss).
When I came to weigh in on Sunday I was a bit worried I might have piled on pounds but I was pleased, I was exactly the same weight as the week before. No loss and no gain. One thing I did notice was that my BMI had decreased slightly so I must be changing some of that fat into muscle which is all good. Hopefully I will have a better week next week.
