TalkTalk Kids’ Boost TV Package

Recently I have been trying out the TV, Phone and Broadband package from TalkTalk. I will be using this over the next year and letting you know about different features that they offer. I will be letting you know more about how useful I find TalkTalk and how well the different features integrate into my family life.

Recently I have been looking at the TalkTalk Kids’ Boost TV Package. TalkTalk offer a TV service and when you sign up to it you get a YouView box. This gives you access to the freeview channels via your aerial but it also connects to your broadband. This means you can view TV via broadband which gives you access to catch up TV and a selection of movies and TV series. You can go back in time and watch TV that was on up to seven days ago. As well as this you can pause and rewind live TV and record programmes onto the box.

As well as the standard channels you also have the opportunity to purchase different boost packages which give you extra channels. These can be added and removed on a monthly basis which gives great flexibility. This month we added the Kids’ Boost which costs £5.00 a month and adds an extra 14 kids channels to your TV. These are:

  • Disney Channel
  • Disney Junior
  • Disney XD
  • Nickelodeon
  • Nick Jr
  • Cartoon Network
  • Boomerang
  • Disney Channel On Demand
  • Disney Junior On Demand
  • Disney XD On Demand
  • Nickelodeon On Demand
  • Nick Jr On Demand
  • CN On Demand
  • Boomerang On Demand

My son really enjoyed watching the channels. He really likes the Cartoon Network and found a lot of his favourite shows on there. The content will suit a wide variety of ages and children will always find something to watch. We did a small video to show you how it all works:

Disclosure: We are trialling the services TalkTalk offers in order to do a series of reviews. I was not told what to write and my opinions are my own.

Interesting to read about other companies. We have all our phone stuff with Sky, but the broadband is really annoying me especially as I work from home.
