St Ives Apricot Facial Scrub Review

St Ives Facial ScrubI love facial scrubs as I think they really help to brighten up your skin when used a couple of times a week. I was looking forward to trying out these St Ives Apricot Facial Scrubs to see what I thought. St Ives Facial Scrubs are made with 100% natural exfoliants and extracts which work gently to exfoliate and cleanse revealing smooth healthy looking skin. They come in four different types so you can choose the type that will best suit your skin. These are:

  • Invigorating – an invigorating exfoliant which removes dull and dead skin to reveal a smooth, radiant and glowing complexion.
  •  Gentle – formulated for sensitive skin to gently remove skin impurities leaving the skin bright and healthy.
  • Blemish Control – with active clarifying ingredients to unblock pores preventing blemishes and blackheads.
  • Renew & Firm – to reduce roughness and mottled pigmentation helping to revive the skins youthfulness.

St Ives Apricot Gentle Facial Scrub

I have sensitive skin so I tried out the St Ives Apricot Gentle Facial Scrub. It contains skin soothing botanicals, micro beads and jojoba oil to gently remove skin impurities and it is also hypo-allergenic so I was pretty sure that I would not get a nasty reaction when I used it. The  tube is a nice size, it would be easy to pack if you were going away. It also stands upright nicely on your shelf.

It is easy to squeeze out of the tube and you can see the little scrubbing bits in the facial scrub when you look at it. The other thing that is really noticeable is the smell, it is gorgeous. You can really tell it is made of apricots as there is a lovely fruity apricot smell that emerges when you use it.

You need to wet your face before use. You can feel the scrubbing action on your face when you use the scrub, it has a slightly gritty rough texture. I did not find it too abrasive however, it gently scrubbed the dirt and dead skin cells away. When you have finished you just rinse it off your skin.

I found my skin was lovely and soft after I had used it and definitely felt much clearer. I was a bit worried that my sensitive skin would react badly to this product but I had no problems at all. I would not use this product every day, a couple of times a week should be more than sufficient.

All the varieties of St Ives Apricot Facial Scrub are RRP £5.10 for 150ml and are available from Superdrug, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s and selected supermarkets and independent chemists nationwide. It is also worth noting they contain natural ingredients and do not contain  parabens or phthalates.
