Palmolive have been making soap since 1898 and have recently expanded their range to include aromatic shower gels, handwashes and soaps. I always remember using Palmolive soap when I was little and I used to really like the soft creamy lather it produced so I was pleased to be asked to try some of the Palmolive Authentics range.
The Authentic range are vintage styled but have fresh and floral fragrances guaranteed to delight your senses. The first product I tried from the Palmolive Authentics Range was the Palmolive Lavender and Chamomile bar soap.
This comes in traditional brown paper packaging which when opened reveals a rectangular purple bar with Palmolive written across it. This looks nice sitting on my white sink. When I tried the soap it had a gorgeous lavender smell that made it a pleasure to use and it produced plenty of lather. I could smell the lavender on my skin after using the product and even better it did not dry out my skin, like soap often can. The soap is also available in Bergamot and RRP £1.29
The next product I tried was the Palmolive Bergamot and Verbena Shower Gel.

The first thing I noticed about the Palmolive shower gel was the shape of the bottle. It is slightly indented at the bottom which means that when you lift it up to use it in the shower it fits nicely into your hand. The shower gel is also a lovely green colour which looks striking on the side of the bath. The vintage theme continues in the label with the almost art deco flowers surrounding the writing. Palmolive Bergamot and Verbenna Shower gel is made with natural Bergamot oil from Southern Italy and when you open the bottle you can smell it. The smell is warm and uplifting and really makes you feel awake and refreshed. It leaves the skin lovely and soft as well. Palmolive shower gel is RRP £1.99 and is also available in Damask Rose and Musk.
The final product from the Palmolive Authentic Range that I tried was the Lavender and Chamomile Handwash.
The Palmolive handwash again comes in the nicely shaped bottle which makes it easy to hold, but this time it has a pump top lid. The pump dispenses just enough to wash your hands, which is great as otherwise my son would use it in one go. The soft purple colour looks great on my kitchen windowsill. It has a lovely lavender fragrance and leaves your hands feeling lovely and clean but also soft. Palmolive handwash is RRP £2.03
You can find the Palmolive Authentics range in most supermarkets.
