How often do you have a date night with your partner? The Get Date Night subscription box provides you with a perfect way to enjoy some time together.
Modern day life is busy. It is too easy to get caught up in routine of every day life and not make time for our partners. Work, family commitments and chores clamour for our attention. It is exhausting and easy to be caught in a rut. If is hard to squeeze in an hour of watching a film, never mind spending time with your other half. When was the last time you had a date night? I am not talking a big expensive night out with flowers, expensive dining and limo. When did you last put aside a couple of hours to be with your partner and spend some quality time together? Date Night is important, it helps you remember why you are together.
Get Date Night Subscription Box
Usually our date nights consist of a take away and a film. Not very original but it gives us a chance to relax and be together. Get Date Night is a subscription box that provides everything you need to have a date in the comfort of your own home. All you need is some free time to spend together, the rest of the date is in the box.
I love the packaging of the box, the black box with the red metallic logo makes it look really special. Inside the contents were carefully wrapped with brown crinkly wrapping which made it look more exclusive. The box I received was a Chocolate Heaven date. This was perfect, after all who does not love chocolate? I carefully unpacked everything to find out what to do. A nice touch was the personalised letter that came with it with our names on. That made it feel much more like a date night. The box was filled with champagne and chocolates along with instructions on what to do to create the date night. There was also a spotify play list to help set the mood for the night.
Chocolate Heaven Date Night
The first part of the date night was a bit messy but lots of fun. The idea was to melt the white chocolate and put it on the rim of the glasses. The champagne is then drunk from the chocolate covered glasses. This sounds easy but getting the chocolate onto the glass took a bit of skill. There were plenty of laughs and the end result was delicious. It was a great way to start the night.
It was then time for chocolate tasting. First we tired the small box of white, milk and dark chocolate to warm our taste buds up. Then it was time to taste the mystery chocolates and guess the flavours. The results were put on a score card as we tried them. We had great fun discussing the flavours and trying to work out what they were. When we finished guessing we opened the mystery envelope and the answers were revealed. It was fun discovering just how wrong we were about some flavours but others we had guessed perfectly.
To end the night we milk chocolate stirrers into warm milk in our favourite mugs. The stirrers with chocolate and marshmallow made the perfect treat to enjoy while watching a film. It was a lovely way to end the night.
What did we think of the Get Date Night subscription box?
We really enjoyed our date night and these boxes are such a simple idea to add a bit of spark back into a relationship. It is hard to find time for each other when life is busy but signing up to a subscription box will give you an incentive to make the time. The contents of the box are different each month and are carefully chosen to make the experience as special as possible. I look forward to seeing what other ideas the Get Date Night date designers think up.

If you fancy going out for a night and you live in Newcastle Upon Tyne why not try El Coto which is a Spanish Tapas restaurant. Trying bits of different dishes is a lovely way to spent a night.
I was sent a Get Date night subsciption box to try out in advance of the launch and see what I thought. My opinions are my own.
