It is easy to find a home cleaner with Hassle.com. Simply enter your postcode, choose a date and time and they will organise someone to clean your home.
In an ideal world we would live in a house that was pristine. The gleaming surfaces, sparkling floors and fresh clean smell of your home would welcome guests as they enter your home. Often the reality is different. Working full time and dealing with a family often means the house comes last. Guests are more likely to be greeted with a layer of dust and abandoned socks on the floor. There are simply not enough hours in the day to get everything done.
I have often wondered if it would be worth getting a cleaner for a couple of hours a week but never got round to finding out how to do it. Recently Hassle.com got in touch to tell me about their cleaning services. They have recently launched in Newcastle and asked if I would like to give them a trial. Letting someone else do the cleaning sounded like bliss so I was happy to try them.
Find a home cleaner with Hassle.com
It was easy to find a home cleaner with Hassle.com. On the website you just enter your postcode and the times and day you would like the cleaner to come. There are then a number of options, weekly, fortnightly or a once off clean only. Prices are from £10 per hour if you choose a regular clean but a one off clean is £12 per hour. Once you have chosen a schedule just pick how long you want the cleaner to come for. The final stage is to indicate if you have pets or need ironing done. You also need to confirm if you are providing the cleaning products or if they need to. All you need to do then is pay.
The website shows a list of cleaners in your area who may be available to come out. When the booking is finalised you get an email confirmation with a picture and the name of your cleaner. This is helpful as you can recognise them when they arrive. Text messages are also sent to confirm the booking. The cleaners have all been interviewed and reference checked by Hassle as well as undergoing background checks.
What was the service like?
Not having used a cleaner before I was not really sure what to expect. The cleaner arrived as booked a few minutes early. Having located the cleaning products and rubber gloves he got stuck into the kitchen. The job he did was very through, cleaning all the work benches and sinks so they gleamed. He even cleaned the oven without being asked, a job I had been putting off doing for ages so it can’t have been easy. He just got on with the job quietly and without supervision. We did ask him if he would mind giving the car a hoover while he was there and he was more than happy to oblige.
Would I use the service again?
Although it is probably easier to get on with the job myself and get the house clean, I would definitely consider using the service again. It was quick and easy to book and the cleaner did a good job. It was definitely a luxury to be able to relax and watch someone else do the cleaning. There are cases where a cleaner is not a luxury and a efficient reliable service is a must. My elderly neighbour relied on her cleaner to do the jobs she could not do herself. I would definitely recommend Hassle as it is a really easy service to use.
