I have recently been searching for recipes that use up lemons as I seem to…
Bengal Green Chicken Masala
Bengal green chicken masala contains chicken delicately cooked in coriander. It makes a tasty and delicious protein filled lunch or dinner to warm you on a cold day.
There is nothing nicer than a spicy meal on a cold day. Autumn is really here, the leaves from the trees are scatted all round the ground. Cold winds are apt to greet you when you leave the house. Summer sandals are long forgotten and winter boots are a necessity. On some days wellies are called for, when the puddles lie on the ground. Bengal green chicken masala is a recipe that is perfect for a warming lunch or dinner on a cold day.

Bengal Green Chicken Masala
Discount Supplements sent me a pretty recipe card for the Bengal green chicken masala recipe which you can see below. I have to admit I adapted the recipe a little bit. A pressure cooker is not something I own so I just cooked it in a pan. My fridge was also empty of tomatoes, a rare event, so I left those out. I also used some slightly different spices to reflect what was in my cupboard. Instead of coriander paste I used easy coriander which is coriander leaves in vinegar. It works just as well but if you can find coriander paste you can use that.
I wasn’t sure what it was going to taste like as I have never used a lot of coriander in cooking. The coriander adds a light citrus flavour with undercurrents of sage which is delicious. It really complements the chicken and brings out the flavour. Coriander is packed full of vitamin A, C and also antioxidants to provide a much needed health boost in the winter. In the middle ages coriander was also used in love potions. I don’t know if it works! The Bengal green chicken masala was really tasty and I would make it again as the whole family enjoyed it.

That is quite a lot of coriander indeed. I do like it, though not in copious quantities. Your chicken masala looks delicious.
