I love Fajitas, they are one of those things that you can make really quickly which taste nice and everyone loves. I have had this Discovery Fajita Kit in my cupboard for a while now and the other day I decided to give it a go.

The box promises that it is the Perfect Fajita Kit which is a good start. The box is a different shape to the other kits I use which are flat but when you open the box you find that the Tortilla wraps are curled around the Fajita seasoning mix and the medium Salsa pack. There are 8 Tortilla wraps in total. The box is actually a better shape for storing in a cupboard.

To make Fajita’s you need to add a filling, it is up to you what you add. You could use chicken, prawns, beef or a vegetarian option. I used onions. mushrooms and chicken. I browned the the onions, mushrooms and chicken and then added the sachet of Fajita seasoning mix.

The Fajita seasoning mix is quite red in colour when you first add it but once it is mixed in with the rest of the ingredients it takes on more of a brown colour.

The tortilla wraps need to be warmed in the microwave for a minute and once everything in the pan is cooked through the contents can be divided evenly between the wraps. The mild salsa is then added to each wrap and I always add salad as well.

The finished Fajita’s tasted really nice. The Fajita spice has a bit of a kick and is quite spicy, but it is not overpowering. My son does not normally like food that is too spicy but he was quite happy to eat this. The tortilla wraps are lovely and soft. These kits are perfect to have in the cupboard for whenever you fancy making a meal in a hurry.
