Fudges Chocolate Florentines Review

FudgesI had been eyeing up Fudges Chocolate Florentines for some time, I kept seeing mentions of them on twitter and facebook and I kept thinking they looked delicious. I was delighted then when they Fudges asked me if I would like to try some to review. Needless to say I said yes and duly the box arrived.

Fudges Chocolate Florentines come with either Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate. I was sent the dark chocolate variety. The chocolate is Belgium chocolate which speaks of luxury before you open the packet. I was very tempted to hide these away so the family couldn’t try them, but I did decide to share, grudgingly I must admit.

Opening the packet I found the Fudges Chocolate Florentines nestled inside. There were eight biscuits in the packet. Each biscuit had a nice thickish layer of dark chocolate on top and the florentines themselves are a mix of almonds, sultanas, fruit peel and the secret ingredients that stick them together.

They did look lovely and smelt delicious as well. I did wait long enough to make a cup of tea before tasting them and I have to admit they were gorgeous. They are quite chewy but have a lovely fruity taste with a touch of sweetness behind them.  They are a biscuit to bring out for a special treat. My son loved Fudges Chocolate Florentines as well and would have quite happily eaten them all.  My husband was not as keen but he does not like sweet biscuits generally so that was not unexpected.

Fudges Chocolate Florentines are RRP £3.35. You can find more information on the Fudges website.

Disclosure: I was sent some Fudges Chocolate Florentines to try but was not told what to write and my opinions are my own.
