The Mystery of Dog Ownership

If you read my blog regularly you know that I own a dog. He is a King Charles Spaniel and he is called Eddie. This is a picture of him, trying to look innocent as he knows that he is not allowed on the furniture.

KingCharlesSpanielHe joined the family a bit more than a year ago now. He wasn’t a new puppy when we got him, he was around six months old. He had a bit of a bad start in life as his previous owner had died so he had not had a permanent home. I had never had a dog before so it was a bit of a learning process. Dogs are not the same as tortoises or goldfish, they actually respond to you.

He has settled in well with us and seems happy. We have got used to each others way. He knows that my son will pull him about and play with him. He knows that I am likely to feed him and that my husband will let him out the back.  He is really just another member of the family. It did set me to wondering though, people say that dogs look like their owners. This is a mystery to me, do I look like my dog? Am I going to start getting long floppy ears and a waggy tail? Seriously, do I look like my dog? This is me:

Please tell me, am I starting to look like a King Charles Spaniel?
