Monday morning it was raining, not just normal rain but the sort of rain that goes on and on and on and you just wish it would stop. It was not a good omen for the start of the week. I did try and run but there is something about running in the non-ending rain on a dark cold morning that just did not feel right. It made my asthma start and as a result I did not get far. This week I have been lazy and done just under a mile every day. It feels easier now when I am not wheezing but I just did not push myself.
You can see the results of the rain in the picture above. This is a hill, normally there is a path with no gap. There is now a stream running down the hill into the steam below and it has carved a path for itself. The path had just been fixed from the last time this had happened and now it will need to be fixed again. Needless to say the dog loved it and got extremely wet and muddy, which I was not best pleased about. Wet muddy dogs do their best to dry themselves on the carpet!
As for eating, that has not gone very well this week at all. Well actually that depends on which way you look at it. I have eaten rather too much. It all started when I did lots of baking at the weekend. Baking is always a bad move because after the effort you feel you have to eat the results. Then on Thursday we were treated to lunch at work. Pizza, hot dogs, pasties and chocolate cake! My normal lunch is a sandwich. Friday we treated ourselves to a takeaway and then on Saturday we had fish and chips. The fish and chips was because I had been out all day and it was late by the time I got in, but still not good. When it came to Sunday I was not looking forward to a weigh in. It turned out I was right, I had put on 2 lbs!
I am not surprised but on the other hand I am glad it was not six million pounds as well. I will have to work extra hard this week and get my Jenny Craig diet organised. I just need to ring them up.
I hope my weight loss buddies have had a good week. Do pop along and visit them

You’ll soon get back on track . I’ve found it hard to get out and do my walking with all the rain too. Good luck with the Jenny Craig diet. xx
