I was very intrigued when I heard about Cravendale Epic Straws. I loved bendy straws when I was a child, we always used to fight to get a particular one in our drink. Cravendale Epic Straws take the idea of bendy straws to a whole new level. You get to become a milk magician and invent your own bendy straw creations to make the milk disappear in record time. I got two sets entitled ” The Cereal Snaffler” and “The Bottle Burglar”, names guaranteed to get you wondering.
I opened The Cereal Snaffler first.
In the kit you get easy to follow instructions to make one model, different sized straws and connecting junctions, some snazzy attachable stickers and a handy storage bag to prevent your straws getting lost. There are more straws than you need to make the model so you can let your imagination run wild. My son got to work.
Silence fell, he was really absorbed in the task at hand. He was able to follow the instructions with no help and finally success was achieved.
Of course the straw had to be tested to see if it worked, at which point the dog decided to show an interest in the proceedings.
Then we decided to make The Bottle Burglar. The first thing I noticed was that this pack had red connections, ideal for keeping the parts with the right pack. This was the result.
I really liked the wiggly bits in the middle. We then undertook the challenge to make our own inventions. The first one we came up with allows you to drink from two glasses at the same time, a sneaky way to get your friends milk.
Our next invention used all the curvy bits to give the milk a roller coaster ride.
We had great fun with these straws and enjoyed using them. We are looking forward to finding out more information on the 24th September, you can as well, you just need to visit www.epicstraws.co.uk on that date. What will you build?
Disclosure: I got sent some Cravendale Epic Straws but was not told what to write and my opinions are my own
I love the one that lets you drink from two glasses at once – genius !!
