The last few mornings I have been getting up and there is a definite chill in the air. It is almost time to put away summer shoes and put on my boots. I like to hang onto my sandals and flip flops as long as possible and am not ready yet to pull on practical flat winter boots. It is almost like saying “Goodbye Summer” before it was really here.

For winter I tend to buy flat boots which soles that grip well in case it snows. There is nothing worse than sliding around on ice with high heels, it is impossible to look dignified. As it is Autumn I feel I could get away with less practical boot and had a look  too see if there were any I fancied.

I really liked these French Connection Jecko Black Ankle Boots.

You could never wear heels like this in the snow but they are perfect for stepping though piles of Autumn leaves. I love the buckle detailing as well, they are definitely boots that make a statement.

For a slightly more demure old fashioned look what about these Chocolate Schubar Poppy boots.

I love the blue colour of these boots, it will keep me dreaming of warm summer skies and deep blue sea long after the sun has gone. I think they would also make me feel like a character in a historical romance novel as well, they have that sort of look about them.

For splash of green colour to remind you of the green in the trees long after the leaves have gone what about these Edith and Ella Green boots?

The gold detailing at the top makes them look that little bit special and the colour would definitely make me smile.
