TravelSupermarket are running a competition where they are asking bloggers to Capture the colour. The idea is to find five photos that really show the colours Blue, Red, White, Yellow and Green. I loved the idea of this competition and though I am no master photographer I was up for the challenge. I had a good search though all my photos and here are my entries. Some are taken with my phone and some with my camera so the quality is mixed.
Blue
This photo was taken on my recent holiday in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland. The tide was out and you could walk across to the island. I love the way the blue of the sky contrasts with the blues in the sea.
Green
This was taken recently when I was walking the dog in the Rising Sun Country Park. I was liked the way the trees appeared to form a tunnel with light at the end.
Yellow
This is a sunflower that my son grew at school and came home bearing proudly. It is very yellow.
Red
I pass this interesting sculpture on the way to work most mornings. I find it absolutely fascinating. It is in stark contrast to the red building behind.
White
I took this picture on waking up one morning and finding the ground was covered with crisp white snow.
