Ohso Chocolate bars come in a pack of seven, perfect for a weeks supply. The bars are 13.5 g so are smaller than a normal chocolate bar but they are made with 53% Belgium dark chocolate. The bars have no added dairy and are gluten and wheat free.

What intrigued me was that each bar also contains the optimum daily amount of probiotic. Probiotic bacteria are said to be good for your digestive health and are normally found in yoghurt drinks. Apparently chocolate is more effective at delivering them to your gut than yoghurt. I am not sure how the science behind it works but it is definitely a tasty way to get them into your diet.

I loved the look of these bars. They are small and dainty with little tiny squares which makes them look really nice. I did wonder if the probiotic would make the chocolate taste strange, but in fact it was really delicious dark chocolate. It is not bitter in the way some dark chocolate can be and the small bar was enough to control a chocolate craving without feeling you needed to eat the whole packet in one go. Another added bonus is that each bar only contains 72 calories. My son also loved the little bars and it is a great way to get probiotics into his diet. When I asked him what he thought of the Ohso Chocolate his verdict was “mmmmmmm”, a definite sign of approval.
