Nano Speed Super Vert Crash Set Review

Nano Speed Crash SetMy son was very excited when the Nano Speed Super Vert Crash Set arrived for him to review. He always enjoys getting new toys and this looked really exciting. The Nano cars are small cars which you start up and they then fly around the track with great speed.

Nano Speed Crash SetThere are two cars in the pack as well as the track. They are really small but are meant to reach as fast as 1500 mph scaled speed. I am not quite sure what scaled speed is but it sounded fast.

Inside the pack you find the track. You will need two D batteries before you can use the set. This is not a battery size that I normally have lying around the house so if you are buying this for a present it is worth making sure you have the right size batteries as well.  The batteries are placed in the motorised grey section which is used to help propel the cars around the track.

Nano Speed Vert Crash SetI thought that setting up the track might be complicated until I realised each of the sections of track had printed numbers on the back. These are joined together in order so it is easy to set up. The instructions are quite helpful as well with clear diagrams. The sections are easy to push together and there are stickers provided to jazz up the finished track. It does take a little while to set up but we got there in the end.

Nano Speed Vert Crash SetAs you can see the dog was quite interested in what we were up to. The track does take up quite a lot of space so it is best to set it up somewhere where it is not in the way and it can stay for some time.

In order to play with the Nano Speed Super Vert Crash Set you need to launch the cars. There are two ways of doing this. You can push it into the motorised grey section, in which case it will shoot up and go around the top part of the track.

Nano Super Speed Vert Crash Set

To get the cars to go around the corkscrew bottom part of the track they need to be launched manually. In order to do this you need to pull them back until they click and move them backwards and forwards a few times. This was actually quite tricky to get the hang of. We did get to the stage where we got it working most of the time and at this point we had great fun watching the cars going around the loop. It was however frustrating when it was not working correctly. One car also seemed to work much better than the other, I am not sure if this was because it was a bit heavier.

My son actually did enjoy playing with the Nano Super Vert Crash Set set once we had resolved the car launching issues. It is not something that he will play with on a regular basis though, it is more something he will get out from time to time and have a go with.

You can find out more about Nano Speed products on their website. The Nano Super Vert Crash Set is RRP £34.99.

Disclosure: I was sent the Nano Super Vert Crash Set to review but was not told what to write and my opinions are my own.

Kelly’s of Cornwall Clotted Cream Ice Cream

While I was on holiday in Scotland we visited an ice cream factory and I learnt a lot about the process of making ice cream. That is another story but when the chance came up to review Kelly’s of Cornwall Clotted Cream Ice Cream I had to try it. It was not an ice cream brand I have tried previously and I was very interested to find out more about it.

Kelly's of Cornwall Clotted Cream Ice CreamThere is quite a selection of flavours available. I opted to try the Clotted Cream and Honeycomb as it sounded nice. You can also get Clotted Cream, Clotted Cream and Strawberry, Clotted Cream and Blackcurrant, Clotted Cream and Chocolate and Cornish Dairy Vanilla Ice Cream. They all come in 1 litre tubs but the Cornish Dairy Vanilla Ice Cream is also available in a 2 litre tub. The RRP is £3.99 for 1 litre.

Kelly’s of Cornwall Clotted Cream Ice Cream is made in Cornwall with Cornish Clotted Cream and Cornish whole milk. I only learnt recently that it is possibly to make ice cream without using milk at all. Dairy ice cream is definitely a much nicer flavour and I will make sure I buy this from now on. I like that fact that all the farms with the cows that make the milk for the ice cream are located in Cornwall. It also included clotted cream which is very much a Cornish ingredient. I never realised that only milk produced in Cornwall with at least a 55% fat content can be called Cornish Clotted Cream.

When I opened the tub and looked inside the ice cream looked lovely.

Kelllys Ice CreamIt was a lovely creamy colour with swirls of honeycomb going though. When I scooped it out into the bowls it was lovely and easy to get out of the tub. I often find that some ice cream becomes so hard in the freezer it is impossible to get out, but this was not the case.

Kelly's of Cornwall Clotted Cream Ice CreamKelly’s of Cornwall Clotted Cream Ice Cream tasted divine. It is really creamy and has a lovely velvety smooth texture. The touches of honeycomb add a little touch of sweetness and it is a really luxurious ice cream. I really enjoyed it and I also gave some to my husband and son to try. Well to be fair I couldn’t have got away with eating it all myself, even if I wanted to! My husband also enjoyed the ice cream but found the honeycomb a little sweet. My son really loved the ice cream and demanded more! Kelly’s of Cornwall Clotted Cream Ice Cream is a definite hit with the family and we will be buying it again. I am looking forward to trying the other flavours.

Disclosure: I was sent some vouchers to buy the ice cream and try it. I was not told what to write and my opinions are my own

Samsung Official Top 40 Chart App

Are you a music lover? Do you love listening to the latest tunes and carry music with you everywhere you go? If so you will be interested in the Samsung Official Top 40 Chart App. The Official Top 40 Chart App  was created by a partnership between MusicQubed and Samsung and is available on the flagship Samsung handsets. It has reached number five in the Google Play Music App Chart rapidly so it is very popular.

So what does the Samsung Official Top 40 Chart App offer? For a start you get all the top 40 hits downloaded and ready to play on your mobile. The music is not streamed so you do not get any adverts or interruptions to your music. You also get unlimited plays of all the tracks. As well as this you get “What’s Hot” bonus tracks which are updated every day along with Celebrity Music News. If you want to share your comments about the tracks on Facebook or twitter you can do this within the app.

The Offiical Top 40 app can be downloaded from within Samsung Apps or from Google Play. I have installed it on my phone so I can show you it in more detail.

Samsung Top 40 AppFirst you need to install the app on your phone, this is easy, just hit the install button and it will be installed. You should then see an icon that says Official Top Forty App on your screen.

Samsung Official Top 40 AppClick on this and it will take you into a wonderful world of music. The first time you use the app you need a wi-fi connection but after this you can start the app with no internet connection.

Official Top 40 AppWhen you first start downloading you are asked to set up a user account. You can do this using facebook or your email address and a password.

Offiical Top 40 AppThis will start your trial period, which is usually two weeks but on some devices it is eight weeks. You then get taken to the main menu where you can choose from four different options, Official Top 40 Charts, Hot Tracks and Latest News, My Music Library and My Account. Choosing the Official Top 40 tracks takes you to the track listing.

Official Top 40 AppYou can click on a track to bring up more information about it and the option to play, rewind, pause it. You also have the opportunity to buy the track if you wish.

Official Top 40 App

If you wish you can also share the track or find out more information about it from this screen. My Music Library stores the tracks you have purchased, I have not purchased any yet. Official Top 40 AppIt is searchable so you can easily find the tracks you want. My Account shows all your account information with the option to subscribe after your free trial ends.

In the latest version of the app there is also a weekly Appcast from Scott Mills. This is a five to six minute discussion and will feature special discussions with artists in the chart as well as exclusive clips from new singles and an overview of what’s up and coming among other things.

When your free trial finishes you need to subscribe to the App to continue using it. This is easily done by clicking on the Access All Areas section of the App. It will cost £1 a week to subscribe and you can pay using paypal, credit or debit card or Premium SMS. If you use Premiuim SMS the cost is a little greater, £4 for 3 weeks which is £1.33 a week. This is purely due to the network charges.  I have enjoyed using the app, but I nearly lost my phone to my son who loved it. If you enjoy listening to the latest music then this could be the app for you.
